Job Overview

We are seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our team for a contract position. The contract will run from September to December 31st, 2026. The position is fully remote. The successful candidate can work from anywhere in Ontario. The salary will be $85k pro-rated based on start date. The contract is expected to end December 31, 2026.

Duties

- Conducting legal research, case management and client representation
- Drafting legal documents such as Statement of Claims, Statement of Defences, Affidavit of Documents, Mediation Briefs and more

-Appear before superior court and small claims court

-Involvement on client files pertaining to civil litigation

- Collaborate with team members on special projects

Experience

Required





- 2-3 years’ experience in civil litigation in Ontario

-J.D or LLB degree

-Active standing with the Law Society of Ontario

- Robust communication, time management, drafting and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Acrobat Adobe and Word

Nice-to-have:

- Preferred experience in construction and commercial litigation in Ontario
