Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated, ambitious Russian-speaking Associate Lawyer to join our family law practice. The successful candidate will provide legal representation and advice to English- and Russian-speaking clients in a wide range of family law matters.

The ideal candidate is client-focused, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services in a team-oriented environment. The candidate must also hold a high degree of independence and confidence.

Duties

- Support principal lawyer in every aspect of the practice
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, separation agreements, domestic contracts, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and submissions.
- Attend case conferences, settlement conferences, mediations, motions, and trials.
- Provide legal advice and communicate effectively with both English- and Russian-speaking clients.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' interests.
- Maintain accurate client files and meet all court deadlines.




- Work collaboratively with support staff and other legal professionals.

Experience

- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Experience practicing family law is preferred.
- Fluency in both Russian and English (Russian spoken, written preferred but not mandatory) is required.
- Must have excellent command of English
- Experience with legal research platforms and practice management software is an asset.

Pay: $57,900.05-$175,281.49 per year
