The University of British Columbia is seeking an accomplished and visionary leader to serve as its next Associate Vice-President, Government and Community Relations.

The ideal candidate is a respected and emotionally intelligent leader with deep expertise in government, public policy, stakeholder relations, and community engagement. They possess a demonstrated ability to navigate complex political environments, build trusted relationships with elected officials and senior public servants (particularly at the federal level),



and bring diverse stakeholders together around shared goals. Equally important is a proven record of strategic leadership, organizational effectiveness, and the ability to translate vision into meaningful outcomes.

The pay range for this position is $230,000 – $260,000 per year. Consideration will be given to the candidate’s background and experience when establishing the final salary.
