Duties
- Assess clients’ physical conditions and develop tailored treatment plans to promote healing and recovery
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, massage, and rehabilitative exercises
- Educate clients on injury prevention, self-care techniques, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, progress notes, and client records in compliance with privacy standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client throughput and satisfaction
- Communicate clearly with clients about treatment procedures, expectations, and post-treatment care instructions
Requirements
- Certification as an Athletic Therapist or Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the relevant licensing body
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to musculoskeletal injuries and therapies
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Prior experience in sports therapy or clinical rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
