About the Company For more than 75 years, Coldmatic Building Systems has designed and manufactured custom building solutions for the food-processing, pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial, and cold-chain industries.

We specialize in insulated metal panel camlock systems, cold-storage facilities, controlled environments, and specialty door systems. Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our team on a full-time basis.

You will review customer orders, quotes, construction drawings, and project information to prepare accurate shop drawings for camlock rooms, insulated wall and ceiling systems, swing and sliding doors, related components, and a variety of other custom projects.

This role covers the full drawing process. You will prepare drawings for customer approval, incorporate revisions and consultant comments, and then produce the final drawings required by our manufacturing plant.

You do not need to be an architect or engineer. We are looking for someone who understands construction drawings, produces accurate and practical work, and is willing to learn Coldmatic’s products and systems.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare detailed AutoCAD shop drawings, including floor plans, wall elevations, ceiling and roof plans, sections, details, panel layouts, door locations, and related drawings.
- Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and other construction documents to identify information relevant to Coldmatic’s scope of work.
- Prepare drawings for insulated camlock wall and ceiling systems, swing doors, sliding doors, related system components,



and other custom projects as neded.
- Develop project-specific details for panel connections, transitions, openings, trims, penetrations, and interfaces with other building components.
- Prepare drawings for customer approval and incorporate comments and requested revisions.
- Create final production drawings after customer approval and sign-off have been received.
- Revise drawings based on consultant comments, requests for information, field conditions, change orders, and project updates.
- Prepare material take-offs and bills of materials.
- Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
- Identify missing or conflicting information and ask questions before drawings are submitted or released for production.
- Work closely with Account Managers, Project Coordinators, Production, and installation teams.
- Maintain organized drawing files, revision histories, approvals, and project documentation.

What You Bring

- Strong AutoCAD proficiency.
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in drawings, dimensions, and project information.
- A good understanding of construction terminology, dimensions, and basic building systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, revisions, and deadlines.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to ask questions when information is unclear and take ownership of the accuracy of your work.





The Following Would Be an Asset

- Experience with Bluebeam Revu.
- Drafting experience involving insulated metal panels, cold storage, construction, architectural cladding, building-envelope systems, structural steel, prefabricated buildings, or specialty doors.
- A technical diploma or relevant education in drafting, construction, architectural technology, or a related field.
