Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service while facilitating the repair process. This role requires a blend of customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and sales acumen to effectively communicate with clients regarding their vehicle needs and to promote additional services. Wage is negotiable and dependant upon experience.

Duties

- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately for the service technicians.
- Provide detailed explanations of repair services, costs, and timelines to customers.
- Utilize strong customer service skills to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions and service orders.
- Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Collaborate with mechanics and glass technicians to ensure timely updates on vehicle status for customers.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in customer service in an automotive environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and repairs.
- Experience in cash handling and processing transactions accurately.




- Sales experience is a plus, with a focus on upselling services effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.
- A clean drivers abstract is necessary as one of the duties will be picking up and dropping off vehicles on a regular basis for our fleet accounts.
- Data entry skills - accuracy and speed - are absolutely necessary. We deal with many online platforms for our fleet accounts, insurance companies and Uhaul.
