Responsibilities
- Safely operate tanker trucks across various routes within the US and Canada, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and tanks to ensure optimal safety and compliance.
- Load, secure, and unload freight with precision, including handling hazardous materials when required.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports to ensure traceability and compliance with transportation standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and trucks; assist with minor repairs or automotive troubleshooting as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with tanker trucks or heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for hazardous materials.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor mechanical issues on trucks or equipment.
- Solid attention to detail for completing logs, inspections, and safety checks accurately.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as loading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment.
