Job Code: 26432 Status: Temporary Full Time (up to 6 months) Location: Providence Care Hospital Union: OPSEU 4104 Paramedical Wage: $37.24 - $42.51 Posting Period: August 12, 2026 - August 18, 2026 Working as part of a collaborative care team and with the direction of the Program Manager, the Behaviour Technologist will carry out behavioural assessment and time-limited treatment of individuals with an identified diagnosis, following an order for treatment being placed.
The Behaviour
Technologist will provide recommendations regarding data collection, complete functional behavioural assessments, develop and implement behaviour protocols/plans/treatment and develop data monitoring protocols and complete associated documentation. In addition, the Behaviour Technologist will provide training to staff and family members as necessary.
Skills And Qualifications Required Diploma in Behavioural Science Technology or Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Behavioural Psychology
Minimum of three years of experience in developing and implementing behavioural programs and strategies, preferred
Experience working with and providing behaviour therapy services to adults with complex physical and mental health diagnoses, preferred
Experience in facilitation of groups and experience in staff training/education, preferred
Experience working with and/or awareness of community agencies an asset Position Responsibilities Completes comprehensive behavioural assessments and based on assessment results, plans treatment strategies and develops behavioural plans in collaboration with interprofessional team
Monitors and evaluates assessment processes that are sensitive to the unique and diverse needs of clients
Provides leadership, support and education to members of the interprofessional team for the successful promotion, implementation and integration of behaviour therapy principles and practice into the care and service plans for clients
Completes documentation in accordance in with policies and procedures of Providence Care
Identifies and documents the necessary resources to support data collection and advocate for appropriate resources
