Hybrid (Remote/Office) Company Siemens Energy Canada Limited Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Solutions Full-time Experience Level Professional / Experienced A Snapshot of Your Day In this role, you will be responsible for preparing service proposals and bid responses for Utility and Industrial clients throughout Canada concerning high voltage transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgears. Daily communication with customers, vendors, project managers, and engineers at our global manufacturing facilities is required. Our primary objective is to provide field services for high voltage sub-station equipment.

We are committed to delivering exceptional quality and ensuring that materials and services are supplied punctually and in accordance with customer bid specifications and expectations. How You’ll Make an Impact - Lead the preparation of detailed proposals and Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) documents, including robust cost and price analysis. Present comprehensive financials and risk assessments for review and approval by senior leadership.

- Develop and execute winning bid strategies by leveraging market insights, historical data, and lessons learned to improve win rates and overall bid effectiveness.
- Analyze RFQs and tender documents, including customer terms & conditions, technical specifications, drawings, and project schedules. Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, legal, finance, and external partners) to ensure complete and compliant submissions.
- Partner with engineering teams and external vendors to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely responses for high-voltage substation equipment bids.
- Manage bid timelines, proactively follow up on deliverables, and ensure all milestones are met. Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Identify upselling opportunities and new business prospects.



Support opportunity pipeline tracking in Salesforce, ensuring accurate progression from lead generation to contract award.

What You

Bring - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree considered an asset), along with 5–8+ years of experience in bid management, proposals, sales, or project management, preferably within the power systems, utilities, or high-voltage equipment industry.

- Strong understanding of high-voltage substation equipment, EPC projects, or industrial electrical systems is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading successful bids and improving win rates in competitive environments, with experience reviewing and negotiating commercial terms and conditions, backed by a solid understanding of contract risk management.
- Possess strong financial acumen, including cost estimation, pricing strategies, and margin optimization, along with proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams, with familiarity in procurement processes and RFQ/RFP cycles in the energy or infrastructure sector being an asset.
- This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues. Who is Siemens Energy?
