The Department of Families is seeking a qualified candidates to fill a Bilingual Family Support Service Coordinator position in Winnipeg.

Duties

Reporting to the Winnipeg Manager of Children’s disAbility Services, the Bilingual Family Support Service Coordinator serves as the primary intake and referral specialist for Children’s disAbility Services in Manitoba. This position plays a critical role in maintaining access to services across the province by facilitating connections to supports and services for newly referred children and their families each year, ensuring timely, effective, and coordinated service delivery.

Qualifications

Essential:

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Experience providing case management services to vulnerable individuals and/or children with disabilities or special needs.




- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships within a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong French verbal communication skills.
- Strong English verbal communication skills.
- Strong French written communication skills.
- Strong English written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).

Conditions of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess and maintain a valid 5 Manitoba Driver's Licence and have access to a personal vehicle
- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search
- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check
- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Must be fluently bilingual (French and English)
