Responsibilities
- Deliver Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) training courses virtually to learner cohorts using an online classroom platform.
- Facilitate the advanced GBA Plus course for groups of up to 25 learners and the leaders-focused GBA Plus course for groups of up to 20 learners per session.
- Review all course documentation and materials and participate in preparation and coordination meetings ahead of each session.
- Tailor course delivery to the needs and level of understanding of each learner group, selecting which concepts, sections, and pre-reading materials to emphasize.
- Apply a range of adult-education techniques, including lecture-style delivery, breakout groups, and group work.
- Take attendance at the start of each session and follow up on absent learners as required.
- Gather learner feedback at the end of each session using the provided feedback collection forms.
- Prepare and submit a consolidated course report within 48 hours of completion, including proposed edits, strategies, and recommendations to improve content and delivery.
- Update and help develop training materials based on recommendations and observed learner needs.
- Maintain regular communication with fellow facilitators to ensure coordinated, aligned, and consistent course delivery.
- Participate in monthly program review meetings to keep the training effective and make any necessary adjustments.
- Prepare end-of-year and end-of-contract reports recommending improvements to course content, delivery, and learner selection.
Qualifications
- Delivered a minimum of 30 - 120 training days as a training facilitator.
- Delivered a minimum of 30 - 90 training hours as an online training facilitator.
- Fluent oral, comprehension, and written proficiency in English and French.
- Experience or lived perspective in intersectionality and the Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) field.
- Demonstrated experience in course facilitation.
- Qualifications, training, or education relevant to GBA Plus, such as anti-racism, inclusion, diversity, intersectionality, or a Gender-Based Analysis Plus course (Women and Gender Equality Canada or Canada School of Public Service).
- Experience working within a large public-sector organization.
- Reliability status security clearance required
- Education: Post-secondary education in an Education-related field is considered an asset.
