About EatsPlace
EatsPlace is launching a fast-growing Alberta food brand crafting bold, small-batch artisanal sauces and specialty foods. Operating out of our commercial retail facility in Gasoline Alley, we blend big flavor, vibrant storytelling, and authentic connections. We’re on a mission to build a standout brand—and we’re looking for a creative, high-energy Brand & E-Commerce Coordinator to join us!
The Role
If you love interacting with people, creating eye-catching social media content, and seeing the direct impact of your work every week, this role was made for you.
Reporting directly to the Founder, you'll help us grow our brand. You'll spend your weekends bringing our retail space to life—offering tastings, chatting with food lovers, and capturing vibrant video footage. Mid-week, you’ll shift into creator mode by editing short-form videos, keeping our online store buzzing, and prepping our product line for the week ahead.
What You’ll Do
1. Retail Market Booth Operations & Brand Representation
- Bring the Energy: Lead setup, sales, and teardown for our bustling weekend market booth (Friday to Sunday).
- Engage & Sell: Host product tastings, walk shoppers through our flavor profiles, and turn casual browsers into loyal customers.
- Streamline Sales: Handle POS transactions (cash/card) with ease and run daily opening and closing inventory checks.
- Capture the Vibe:
Snap crisp photos and video during market moments to showcase our products in action.
2. Content Creation, Social Media & E-Commerce
- Turn Footage into Content: Edit videos into trending TikToks, Reels, and Shorts using CapCut and Canva from your workspace at our facility.
- Build the Brand Online: Schedule weekly posts, engage with our online community, and keep our audience hooked.
- Keep Shopify/Square Updated: Match physical inventory with digital stock so online shoppers never miss out.
- Fulfill Orders: Pack and ship online orders or prep them for drop-offs/pickups with care. Handle local wholesale order delivery & sample drop-offs (valid driver's license required).
3. Product Packaging & Market Prep
- Handcraft the Look: Assist with packing and organizing our fresh sauce batches in the commercial prep area.
- Prep for Success: Prep POS gear, tasting stations, signage, and display stands ahead of time so weekend setups run smoothly and stress-free.
4. Other Administrative Tasks As Directed Working Hours & Schedule
- Employment Type: Full-Time (35.0 hours per week).
- Work Location: 100% on-site at our commercial retail facility in Red Deer, AB.
- Standard Workdays: Wednesday through Sunday (Mondays and Tuesdays are set days off).
- Schedule Flexibility: Weekend coverage (Friday through Sunday) during market operating hours is required.
Mid-week shifts (Wednesday and Thursday) cover content editing, packaging, and booth prep. Daily start and end times may adapt slightly based on production schedules and market needs.
Who You Are
- A Natural People Person: You’re outgoing, friendly, and love sparking conversations with market shoppers.
- A Mobile Content Creator: You know how to shoot crisp phone video, jump on social trends, and edit videos comfortably in CapCut, Canva, Instagram, or TikTok.
- A Hands-On Doer: You enjoy a varied work environment—from editing videos on a laptop to packaging sauce tubes and setting up a market display.
- Reliable & Self-Motivated: You take pride in showing up on time, taking ownership of independent tasks, and representing a brand with excellence.
Requirements
- High school diploma required (coursework in marketing, communications, or business is a bonus!).
