Modern Beauty is one of Canada’s largest family-owned professional beauty distributors, proudly serving salons, spas, and beauty professionals for decades. We represent many of the industry’s most respected professional brands and are looking for a motivated Business Advisor to help grow our business in the Mississauga markets.

Expectations:

- Manage and grow an established sales territory.
- Build strong relationships with salon owners and beauty professionals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by leading presentations and demonstrate products to new and existing clients.
- Support and process customer orders (hair colour, retail products, tools and more).
- Solicit potential clients through cold calling within the territory.
- Ability to manage time wisely and actively manage a call schedule to ensure individual territory is covered in a timely manner.
- Managing one's assigned area by maintaining accurate records of sales call reports, work plans, and other documentation.
- Promote recent products, promotions, savings opportunities, and merchandising materials.
- Help customers grow their business through technical/educational brand support provided by our manufacturer partners.
- Ability to align individual and company objectives with goals of satisfying and retaining customers through anticipating wishes and needs.
- Maintaining knowledge of the industry education by attending trade/hair shows and other events.
- Meet and exceed sales objectives while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with new and/or existing clients.
- Plan and manage your territory independently.

Requirements:





- 2 – 3 years of outside distribution sales or account management experience.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills (written/presentation/oral).
- Excellent time management.
- Proficient skills using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams).
- Ambitious self-starter, comfortable working independently within an assigned territory.
- Ability to close sales and hit quotas using each client interaction as an opportunity to acquire, retain and upsell.
- Ability to analyze sales, financial and inventory reports to adapt to a suitable selling approach.
- Servicing accounts through daily service calls while ensuring accuracy in obtaining and entering orders.
- Ability to use social media (IG, FB) as a sales/relationship building tool.
- Value the importance of marketing, branding, and merchandising at the retail level.
- Live within 45 minutes of the territory (ideally).
- Able to attend in-person sales meetings (Mississauga Head Office) 5 – 6 times a year.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
- Reliable and fully insured vehicle.
- A valid passport is required – able to travel by air, occasionally outside of Canada for industry. events and/or sales incentives.
- Ability to lift and carry 40lbs/18kg.
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week / 2–3-week cycle for customer visits.

We welcome candidates with outside B2B sales experience from a variety of industries. Beauty industry experience is considered an asset but is not required. We provide comprehensive product training.

Salary Range: $70,000 + Job Type: Full-time
