What you will be doing!

- Supporting the development, integration, and maintenance of operational plans through structured analysis, coordination, and documentation to enable informed decision‑making by senior leadership.
- Supporting annual and multi‑year operational planning by coordinating inputs across the S&T; Mission and preparing draft plans, forecasts, and planning documentation for review and approval.
- Analyzing complex operational and financial data to validate assumptions, identify trends, risks, and interdependencies, and summarize implications for planning decisions.
- Coordinating responses to actions assigned to the S&T; Mission by identifying data requirements, soliciting inputs across S&T; and CNL, and preparing accurate and timely draft responses and tracking materials.
- Providing accurate, timely, and decision‑relevant reporting that supports management oversight, financial control, and organizational accountability.
- Coordinating and preparing monthly financial and performance reports, including variance analysis and explanatory briefing materials, to support S&T; senior and executive leadership oversight.
- Supporting funding distribution models by monitoring variance between actual data and predicted data to enable consistent reporting and forecasts.
- Serving as a point of contact for reporting‑related inquiries by coordinating analysis, responding to issues, and supporting resolution through data‑driven insights and options.
- Enabling evidence‑based decision‑making by providing analytical insights, scenario analysis, and structured options to inform leadership decisions.
- Conducts scenario, sensitivity, and “what‑if” analyses to assess the impacts of changes in funding, priorities, capacity, or assumptions and support planning and prioritization discussions.
- Supporting the maintenance of dashboards and leveraging analytical tools to monitor trends, assess performance, and support management decision‑making.
- Synthesizing qualitative and quantitative information into concise, decision‑ready materials that highlight key findings, implications, and risks for leadership review.
- Supporting effective coordination, governance, and information flow across internal and external stakeholders to enable efficient planning and reporting processes.




- Coordinating working‑level engagement across S&T; Directorates and CNL stakeholders to support the timely collection, validation, and alignment of planning and reporting inputs.
- Supporting governance processes by tracking commitments, milestones, and deliverables, and ensuring documentation meets established standards, requirements, and timelines.
- Supporting the preparation, compilation, and quality review of materials for executive briefings and external submissions (e.g., AECL), prior to senior review and approval.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

- Education
- University Degree or Diploma from a recognized educational institute and four (4) to six (6) years’ experience or equivalent combination of formal training.
- A Master's degree in a business, engineering or science-related field would be considered an asset.

- Experience

- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related and progressive experience is required.

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Excellent leadership capabilities with demonstrated comfort engaging with people and cross-functional teams to accomplish objectives, form new relationships, optimize resources, and solve challenging problems.
- Outstanding organizational skills and oral and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to define and manage improvement projects and special initiatives with limited guidance.
- Adept at synthesizing complex information and distilling such information into clear and concise messages for written reports or oral presentations.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills, specifically advanced-level capability in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ablity to learn/use CNL’s document management system and other applications.
- Highly self-motivated and team player.
- Comfortable performing duties based on broad general direction and minimal oversight and willing to work cooperatively with others.
- Knowledge of strategic and operational planning processes, balanced scorecards and performance management.

- Security Clearance Eligibility Required

- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5)



hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
