Facility includes a 7,243 sq. ft. shop and loading area, mezzanine office space, and a 1,100 sq. ft. showroom and office area. Our teams work closely with new home builders, renovators, infill specialists and retail clients to exceed customer expectations. Business Unit Leader

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Unit Leader to lead CJ Glass & Mirror and drive the continued growth and success of the business. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, business acumen, and a passion for building high-performing teams and developing current business opportunities. This role will oversee all aspects of operations, from manufacturing through installation, while driving efficiency, sales, safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Core Responsibilities

- Leadership & Culture: Provide thoughtful, leadership across all departments. Mentor other leaders to achieve company goals and foster a culture of excellence. Live and promote our Core Values…Solution Driven, Positive, Accountable, Collaborative, and Engaged (SPACE)
- Strategic Direction: Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations across Sales, Production, Service & Installation, Purchasing, and Logistics. Align departmental objectives with company vision and growth plans.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee production schedules, installation planning,



and inventory management. Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely project completion.
- Financial Accountability: Manage budgets, oversee job costing, and safeguard margins. Ensure financial targets are met by monitoring revenue, gross margin, and expenses.
- Customer Experience: Ensure a superior customer journey from sales to final installation. Resolve escalations and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Quality & Compliance: Establish and enforce quality standards for products and installations. Ensure compliance with all safety, building code, labor, and insurance requirements.
- Health & Safety: Champion a safe workplace by enforcing policies, training programs, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supply Chain & Vendor Management: Build strong supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and secure a steady flow of high-quality materials.
- Fleet & Logistics: Oversee company vehicles, routing, and logistics to ensure cost-effective, on-time service delivery.
- Technology & Systems: Leverage ERP/CRM and other digital tools for estimating scheduling, reporting, and process efficiency.
- Business Growth & Contingency Planning: Take a leading role in the business growth and execute a portion of the sales functions. Monitor market conditions, identify new opportunities, and make proactive adjustments to people, processes, and production capacity.
- Talent & Succession Planning:



Take an active role in hiring, training, and developing employees. Mentor high-performing leaders and prepare them for future leadership roles.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; a Master’s Degree is an asset.
- Experience: 8+ years of demonstrated success in operations leadership, ideally within the glass, construction, manufacturing, or related industry.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, build strong industry relationships, and drive organizational performance.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and customer-facing communication skills.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, job costing, and profitability management.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, pivot with changing priorities, and travel within the province as required.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, weekends as required

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
