The Cabinet Vision Programmer/Specialist is responsible for the overall maintenance and management of Cabinet Vision. Possessing a high degree of technical aptitude and attention to detail, this position is accountable for engineering within the design software – preparing engineering design, drawings, and technical information relating to the discipline of cabinetry with Cabinet Vision.
The Cabinet Vision
Programmer/Specialist liaises with production and estimating to support and promote a smooth production process and ensure order requirements are met.
- Review and interpret drawings and blueprints for design and job costing purposes.
- Use Cabinet Vision software to draw/engineer designs and issue to CNC for production.
- Manage current part library and create new assemblies as required.
- New product development as directed.
- Ensure material and cabinetry components are set up in Cabinet Vision adding new materials and components as needed.
- Collaboration with production and estimating to promote smooth production and ensure order requirements are met.
- Create recent cabinet vision files from competed layouts and set up with job-specific information.
- Use Cabinet Vision to create shop documentation providing the required information to manufacture all parts for each job.
- Produce production packages for shop floor based on schedules provided.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Engineer/alter designs to ensure construction and installation meets building code and standards.
- Assist with job costing and design projects as needed.
- Follow all company policies, safety rules and quality standards.
- Assist with the ERP (Seradex) integration with Cabinet Vision and maintain when completed.
- Provide technical support to internal teams.
- Implement requests for improvement or changes to the program.
- Train new users to create layouts and drawings in Cabinet Vision.
- Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma required.
· Completion of a post-secondary program in Construction Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Industrial Design, Cabinet Making or a combination of equivalent experience/education.
· 2+ years experience in Cabinet Vision with a demonstrated advanced proficiency with Cabinet Vision programming.
· 2+ years of relevant production experience/knowledge in cabinetry or millwork manufacturing.
· Previous CNC experience is preferred.
· Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, and quality control.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of SQL, UCS (Cabinet Vision), and other coding languages.
· Knowledge of Biesse works, HOMAG, WoodWOP and/or Mastercam is considered an asset. · Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service, meeting quality standards for service and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of arithmetic and other mathematical applications.

Pay: $52,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
