Front of House Manager – Made. Cafe & Bistro

Position: Full-Time

Made. Cafe & Bistro is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Front of House Manager to lead our customer service team and help deliver an exceptional café experience every day.

We're searching for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about coffee, hospitality, and building a positive team culture. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll spend time on the floor supporting staff, serving guests, and ensuring our café operates smoothly.

What You'll Do

- Lead, mentor, and support our front-of-house team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Prepare high-quality espresso beverages and train staff in barista techniques.
- Maintain consistency in coffee quality, drink presentation, and customer experience.
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures.
- Oversee front-of-house cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory of beverages, paper goods, and front-of-house supplies.
- Place orders and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Create staff schedules and assist with hiring and onboarding.
- Train and coach new employees on customer service, POS procedures, and café standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bakery teams to ensure efficient service.
- Help achieve sales, labour, and customer satisfaction goals.

Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is required.




- Previous leadership or management experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Passion for specialty coffee and hospitality.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Food Safety Certification is considered an asset.
- Coffee Roasting Experience is considered an asset.
