Overview

GIP Pyramid Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Cement Finisher to join our construction team for the season.

The successful candidate will support a variety of civil and concrete construction projects, performing carpentry, formwork, concrete placement, and finishing duties while maintaining GIP Pyramid Construction’s standards for safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

- Construct, install, and dismantle concrete forms and formwork.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials according to project requirements.
- Prepare areas for concrete placement.
- Place, level, smooth, and finish poured concrete.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Assist with concrete repairs and other related construction work.
- Read and follow measurements, specifications, and site instructions.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, equipment operators, labourers, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other construction activities as required.

Qualifications





- Previous carpentry, formwork, concrete, or cement-finishing experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of concrete placement and finishing techniques is considered an asset.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
- Ability to safely operate relevant hand and power tools.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong awareness of construction-site safety.
