What You’ll Be Doing

- Residential carpentry including trim work, doors, insulation, framing, and general finishing
- Managing your own tasks and staying ahead of what’s next on the project
- Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and safe — every day, not just when someone’s watching
- Problem-solving on the fly — adapting when things don’t go as planned
- Working collaboratively with homeowners, subcontractors, and our internal team
- Asking questions when you’re unsure — we’d much rather answer a question than fix a mistake

Who We’re Looking For

- A Carpenter with strong attention to detail and pride in their craft.



Red Seal certification is an asset but not required.
- Highly organized — plans ahead, keeps a tidy site, and manages tasks independently.
- A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and maintains a consistent, productive workflow.
- An excellent communicator — works well with homeowners, trades, and our internal team. Not afraid to pick up the phone and ask a question.
- A positive, reliable team player — someone who brings good energy to the job site and doesn’t drag down the tempo. We keep things drama-free and we like it that way.
- Up for a challenge — enjoys problem-solving, thinks quickly, and takes pride in every cut, joint, and finish.
- Values loyalty and consistency — we’re not a revolving door. We want someone who stays, grows, and takes pride in what we build together.

Requirements

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to reliably commute to job sites across the Northumberland area (Brighton, Cobourg, Port Hope, and surrounding areas)
- Strong attendance history — consistent attendance and punctuality are non-negotiable. We’re a small team and every day matters. We will ask about this in reference checks.
- Experience with residential carpentry tasks including trim work, doors, insulation, and general finishing
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own time

Nice to Have

- Red Seal certification
- Experience with custom residential renovations
- Familiarity with the Northumberland/Kawarthas area
