UHN is committed to ongoing education and quality assurance initiatives and is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and the Michener Institute of Education.DutiesBuilds MRI Protocols on scanners as outlined in the research documents/imaging guidelines Performs PET-MRI and MRI Procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals to aid in patient diagnosis, intervention and or treatment Ensures MRI Safety Standards of Practice are followed at all times Operates, troubleshoots and ensures safe functioning of medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner Prepare written and electronic reports required to properly document all procedures and test results Attend Research meetings, as required Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and grand applications and data processing Responsible for teaching, training, educational research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and utilizing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to review, manipulate and archive digital medical images of data in final image formation Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care Understand and follow Hospital and departmental Research policies and procedures to improve technical quality Administration of radiopharmaceuticals intravenously under the direction of the nuclear medicine physician or authorized user Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage of radiopharmaceuticals received, used and disposed under the direction of the nuclear medicine physician Disposal of radioactive materials and storage of radiopharmaceuticals following all CNSC requirements Reconstruction of image data for subsequent quantitative analyses applying applying appropriate corrections for attenuation, random scatters, motion etc. per direction of the nuclear medicine physician or physicist Performs
