Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented Casual Veterinary Support Team Member to join our mobile veterinary team. This position provides support to the veterinarian and registered veterinary technician (RVT) and helps ensure that patients and clients receive a positive, professional, and welcoming experience.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of the clinic, including preparing and cleaning treatment areas, assisting with patient handling and restraint, maintaining supplies and equipment, supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians during appointments and procedures, and helping keep the clinic organized, clean, and safe.

This is a casual position with shifts scheduled based on clinic needs and staff availability. Flexibility, dependability, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn are essential. The ideal candidate is comfortable working around dogs and cats, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and is able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities may include:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to uphold health and safety standards. This includes weekly deep cleans of the mobile unit (or as-needed), as well as clinic laundry, waste disposal, and other general clinic duties
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring inventory, notifying management of stock levels or needs in both mobile unit and additional storage
- Prepare examination & treatment area, including cleaning, sterilizing equipment, and organizing supplies
- Receive and unpack inventory orders
- File documents




- Assist veterinarian with animal handling, restraint, and basic care procedures to ensure protected and fear-free visits
- Assist veterinarian and veterinary technician with appointments, procedures, and laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and record keeping to aid diagnostic processes
- Follow all clinic protocols related to patient safety, infection control, and workplace safety
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and respectful approach with clients, patients, and coworkers
- Perform other duties as-required to support the smooth operation of the clinic

Ideal Candidate:

- Compassionate and comfortable working with animals (experience working with animals or in a veterinary setting is preferred, but not required)
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work flexible/casual shifts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential
- Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently, demonstrating patience and compassion
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and patient care
- Willing to learn new skills and take direction from veterinary professionals and management
