Certified Welder & Fabricator – Small Shop Workplace

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, certified Welder/Fabricator with strong hands‑on experience in small‑shop environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting where precision, versatility, and teamwork matter. You’ll work on diverse fabrication projects using advanced welding techniques, mechanical skills, and shop equipment to produce high‑quality components and assemblies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform certified welding using MIG and TIG. Familiar with CSA 47.1 Standards
- Operate fabrication equipment including:
- Laser table
- Ironworker
- Band saw
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with accuracy
- Use calipers, measuring tools, and basic math to verify specifications
- Operate forklifts for safe material handling
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues, modify parts, and improve processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support general shop duties, including prep work, cleanup, and small tasks essential to job completion
- Work effectively within a small team and contribute to a positive shop culture
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Certified welder (CWB MIG/TIG)
- Minimum 5 years of professional welding/fabrication experience
- Strong background in blueprint reading, mechanical operations, and fabrication equipment
- Experience operating laser table, ironworker, and band saw
- Forklift experience (certification preferred)
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform precise measurements
- Comfortable working in a small shop with a collaborative, hands‑on team
Assets (Not Required)
- Ability to speak Ukrainian
- Press brake or machining equipment experience
- Solid mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes
