Overview

Perseval & Young Cheesemongers is looking for a part time employee to work our fine cheese counter and offer our customers best in class service. A keen interest and passion in valuable quality food is essential. Previous food handling experience and an ability to work quickly under pressure are also crucial for this role.

We are offering someone an excellent opportunity to learn about the care and handling of fine cheese, as well as be a part of our team as we grow and expand. We will teach you everything you need to know about fine cheese and our other products, but you need to be keen to learn and good at retaining information. You'll also need to be personable, confident and professional dealing with a wide variety of customers.

The right candidate for this position will be able to display passion for food, and passion for the beautiful cheese we are selling. Enthusiasm is key!

Shifts are Tuesday to Saturday. We are closed Sundays and Mondays,



and we do not work past 6 p.m so there are no late shifts.

Responsibilities

- Cutting cheese to order
- Helping our customers with their cheese selections
- Order taking in the shop and on the phone
- Processing orders and helping prep for our cheese club
- Handling cash and taking payments
- Keeping the store clean and tidy

Experience

- Previous experience in a customer service role is required.
- Previous food handling experience is a huge asset.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
