Empower Indigenous women as a Women’s Wellness Program Co-Coordinator at VNFC. Collaborate culturally and supportively to facilitate impactful programs that foster self-awareness and resilience.
In this culturally grounded position, you will co-facilitate program sessions aimed at breaking cycles and promoting advocacy among Indigenous women. Your role will require you to plan sessions, adapt curriculum, recruit participants, and link them to essential support systems. You will also ensure the maintenance of materials, collect data, and prepare program reports, enhancing the overall wellness experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare engaging group sessions
• Modify curriculum based on participant needs
• Recruit and intake program participants
• Maintain and organize program materials
• Connect participants to support resources
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or related field
• Experience in Indigenous serving organizations
• Solid curriculum planning skills
• Knowledge of cultural safety principles
• Valid BC Driver's license and access to a vehicle
