CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Siloam Mission Inc. is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to connecting with and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. Rooted in the principles of hope, recovery and transition, Siloam Mission works toward its primary goal to alleviate hardships and support individuals affected by poverty, addiction, mental health issues, and homelessness. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Siloam Campus offers Community Members overnight separate shelter spaces for men and women, serves 1,500 meals a day, provides laundry services, clothing, showers, a drop-in center, a full-service medical clinic, a medical transitional care unit for surgical recovery, a pharmacy to support an OAT program, mental health support, and interim housing for people who complete a 60-day treatment program. A social enterprise program offers work experience and work readiness opportunities for community members.

In addition, Siloam provides support for community members seeking housing, and operates five off-premise housing properties that currently house 125 people. These services are made possible through the dedication of over 200 employees and hundreds of volunteers.

The Chief Executive Officer is a faith based individual, a “Builder” and a visionary with a history of success in implementing the vision and strategic direction of the Board. Key Competency areas include:

- Experience providing bold, thoughtful,



strategic leadership in a non-profit or for-profit organization along with expertise in working with and reporting to a Board of Directors;
- A successful track record of leading organizational transformation during a period of renewal, growth and increased impact and stakeholder engagement.
- Fiscal management involving significant real estate ($35M) and operating budgets ($25M),
- Demonstrated experience across some or all of the intersecting realities Community Members face today: Indigenous well being based on the Truth & Reconciliation Calls to Action, receiving support from a faith-based organization, addressing homelessness as a starting point of support; the far-reaching impact of positive mental health.
- Keen operational and political savvy; with exceptional relationship building experience
- Seasoned decision-making skills to address immediate issues and long-term strategies
- Exceptional communication skills and success in providing a clear vision to the Senior Leadership Team, staff, volunteers, donors, sector partners, and government;
- Acts as the primary spokesperson for Siloam and advocates on behalf of the organization.

Additional assets include

- Knowledge of addiction and/or mental health issues through qualified or lived experience
- Understanding of homelessness issues in the current milieu within a Housing First mandate
