Job Duties

· Inspects equipment before and after trips and submits inspection reports

· Operates tractor-trailer in a safe manner, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products

· Complies with driving rules and regulations. Reports any incidents immediately to supervisor.

· Pick up and deliver shipments to / from customer, Loads or unloads, or assists in loading and unloading truck.

· Secure load to trailer wall using straps and/or load bars

· Ensures load is secured prior to transit. Inventories and inspects goods to be moved

· Services truck with oil, fuel, radiator fluid, etc.

· Ensures all required customer paperwork is completed and signatures are obtained

· Maintains good relationships with customer

· Reports any order discrepancies to dispatcher or other company representative

· Completes various reports, such as driver logs, hours of service records, pre-trip inspection reports, etc.

· May be required to lift and carry product for delivery into customer location

Skills





· Possesses valid driving license for the class of vehicle being operated

· Must be able to read, write and speak English

· Maintains effective customer relationships

· May be required to lift up to 70 lbs

· Must be able to work in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

*Must be willing to perform highway work within Alberta

- LCV Certification an asset

3 years related experience preferred·

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,200.00-$8,500.00 per month
