Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing roadside assistance as needed. This role requires a professional approach, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles and situations efficiently. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on customer service and safety.

Duties

Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialised vehicles, in accordance with traffic laws and safety regulations

Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, including vehicle recoveries and breakdowns

Safely load, secure, and transport vehicles to designated locations such as repair shops or impound lots

Conduct routine inspections of the tow truck to ensure it is in protected working condition

Maintain accurate records of all jobs performed, including vehicle details and locations

Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate operations

Assist with warehouse tasks or vehicle storage when required

Follow all safety protocols during operations to prevent accidents or injuries

Skills





Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with tow trucks or flatbeds

Strong driving skills with a valid class 1 or 3 driver licence and clean driving record

Knowledge of mechanical systems related to tow trucks and basic vehicle repairs

Experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations is advantageous

Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members

Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring vehicles when necessary

Familiarity with road safety regulations and traffic laws relevant to commercial driving
