Role Overview

Due to continued growth, The Consulting House is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our Employee Benefits team.

This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to our group benefits clients through expert plan administration, technical support, carrier coordination, and proactive problem-solving. The successful candidate will work closely with account executives, carriers, and plan administrators to support the implementation, ongoing administration, and servicing of client benefit programs.

The ideal candidate shares The Consulting House core values and has several years of group benefits experience. They are comfortable managing complex client situations, resolving escalated issues, reviewing plan documentation, and coordinating directly with insurance carriers.



This role is best suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering a consistently high level of client service.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the implementation and transfer of large, complex group benefit clients.
- Review contracts, booklets, and carrier documentation for accuracy and compliance with plan design.
- Liaise with insurance carriers and vendors to resolve plan administration issues and exceptions.
- Support plan changes and ongoing administration for large and complex group benefit clients.
- Prepare client communications and administrative documentation.
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications

- Postsecondary education in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in Employee Benefits with an insurance carrier, consulting firm, or brokerage.
- Experience supporting large and complex group benefit plans is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage escalated client issues and carrier relationships independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- GBA designation or working towards CEBS is an asset.
- Knowledge of Group Retirement Programs is an asset.
