Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Research Associate for a part-time or full-time, on-site position in Toronto, ON. The primary responsibilities include the following:
- Recruiting study participants/subjects
- Schedule and conduct interviews
- Obtain consent from all study participants
- Supervising participants
- Performing EEG recordings
- Performing clinical duties including, but not limited to, history taking and physical examination
- Maintain quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings
- Assist with research
- Administrative support (research and non-research)
Duties and training are done in office in our laboratory.
What We Are Looking for
- Strong English communication skills (essential)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- A problem solver who can think independently
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems quickly
- Enjoys working with both patients and equipment
- Background in EEG, neurodiagnostics, EEG sleep technician or other imaging technician (e.g. ultrasound) preferred
- Experience with medical devices or engineering concepts preferred
- Interest in AI,
neuroscience, or digital health preferred

Qualifications
- MD, BN, BScN or equivalent
- Foreign-trained EEG technician preferred
- Prior EEG experience/training
- Experience in research
- TCPS Core 2: 2022 (or willing to obtain prior/within first few days of employment)
- Professional certification as an EEG Technician/Technologist is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Educational background in clinical research, EEG, or related fields
- Proficiency in performing EEG tests and understanding EEG technology is an asset
- Knowledge of migraine and neurophysiology preferred
- Familiarity with medical protocols and procedures related to headache and neurological disorders
- Strong patient care skills, including the ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure the accuracy of diagnostic readings and documentation
- Understanding of machine learning applications in medical diagnostics is an asset
