CNC Machine Operator
A&S; Design is looking for a dependable CNC Machine Operator who likes staying busy, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping work moving.
This is a hands-on position in a high-mix machine shop. You will run established programs, load parts and materials, monitor machines, inspect completed work, and make routine adjustments. Our work includes one-off parts, repairs, repeat jobs, and production runs in metals, plastics, and non-conventional materials. CNC programming is not required for this position.

Pay: Per hour, based on experience
Job type: Full time, in office
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: 12-2337 Townline Road, Abbotsford, BC
Overtime: Optional. Authorized hours over 40 are paid at the overtime rate.

What You Will Do:
- Review drawings, work instructions, and job requirements before starting work.
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, routers, and other equipment based on your experience.
- Load and unload parts and materials, then run established CNC programs.
- Complete tool changes, offset adjustments, and other routine machine adjustments.
- Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Complete in-process inspections and watch for changes in quality or tool condition.
- Deburr and finish parts when required.
- Identify problems early and work with the team to correct them.
- Keep production counts, inspection information, and job progress current.
- Perform routine machine care and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Help with other shop work when needed to keep jobs moving.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous CNC machine operating experience.
- Ability to follow drawings, work instructions, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Someone dependable, organized, and comfortable staying active throughout the day.
- Someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and cares about producing positive parts.
Machine setup experience, basic G-code knowledge, CNC milling or turning experience, Mazak experience, and experience machining different materials would be assets. Programming experience is welcome but is not required. Why A&S; Design?
