What You'll Do

- Set up and operate large-format CNC milling machines.
- Machine steel plates, die set components, and custom fabricated parts to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and determine tooling, workholding, and machining sequence.
- Make program edits, offsets, and setup adjustments as required.
- Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain specified tolerances and ensure finished parts meet quality requirements.
- Safely move and position large workpieces using overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Support other machining and fabrication operations as required.

Qualifications





- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience setting up and operating large-format CNC milling machines is considered a robust asset.
- Experience machining large steel plates or fabricated components is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Comfortable working with precision measuring equipment and maintaining specified tolerances.
- Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:

- Fanuc
- Heidenhain
- Fagor
- CAMWorks
