About Our ShopWe are a premier, high-volume collision repair facility operating right here in Chilliwack, BC. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Collision Refinish Technician to work in our busy paint department.
Whether you are a seasoned Red Seal Journeyperson or an advanced apprentice looking to elevate your career alongside industry mentors, we offer the stable workflows, top-tier down-draft equipment, and steady volume you need to maximize your potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, mask, tape, and spot-fill repaired auto body surfaces to establish a flawless, defect-free foundation prior to paint application.
- Color Matching & Mixing: Utilize advanced computerized color-matching software and paint codes to accurately mix primers, sealers, basecoats, and specialized topcoats.
- Refinishing Application: Apply multi-layer automotive finishes and protective coatings using high-end spray equipment in our modern, well-ventilated spray booths.
- Quality Inspection: Assess finished work for color accuracy, texture blending, dust nibs, or paint defects
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a organized paint-mixing environment and booth. Comply strictly with provincial WorkSafeBC regulations, environmental safety norms, and standard hazardous waste disposal laws.
- Workflow Collaboration: Partner with our body repair technicians and estimators to organize repair sequences, streamline cycle times, and meet customer delivery deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Trade Credentials:
Red Seal Certification as an Automotive Refinishing Technician is highly preferred; however, Level 2 or Level 3 Apprentices with strong hands-on shop experience are actively encouraged to apply.
- Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years working within a production collision repair environment executing surface preparation and painting.
- Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with waterborne and solvent paint lines, electronic measuring instruments, and modern spray guns.
- Core Attributes: An exceptional eye for detail, strong visual acuity for subtle color variations, excellent punctuality, and a collaborative team spirit.
- Licence: Must hold a valid British Columbia Driver’s Licence.
- Tools: Ownership of standard trade-related personal tools and paint spray guns is required.

Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts
- Monday to Friday schedule (Enjoy weekends off!)
