VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking a full time Commercial Glazing CAD Designer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, fabrication details, and technical layouts for curtain wall, storefront, aluminum entrance, window, and specialty glass systems. Working closely with estimators, project managers, architects, and production teams, this position helps ensure each project meets design requirements, specifications, and industry standards.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Design curtain wall, storefront, entrance, window, and glazing system layouts




- Incorporate architectural and engineering revisions into drawings
- Coordinate drawing details with project managers, architects, and suppliers
- Prepare material takeoffs, glass sizes, and fabrication information
- Identify design conflicts and recommend practical solutions
- Maintain accurate drawing records and meet project deadlines
- Support production and installation teams with technical information

What You’ll Bring

- Experience with AutoCAD in glazing, construction, architecture, or a related field
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of dimensions, elevations, sections, and construction details
- Commercial glazing or aluminum systems experience is preferred
- Experience with Revit or other design software is an asset
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively
