Our client is a family-owned property management company with a long-standing presence in the market. They own and operate their entire portfolio, with no third-party management, and take a hands-on, ownership-driven approach.

As the portfolio continues to grow, they are looking to add a Commercial Property Manager who will play an important role across both property operations and commercial leasing. This is a hands-on position working closely with ownership and leadership, with responsibility for tenant relationships, building operations, and playing an active role in the leasing and growth of the commercial portfolio.

Role Overview:

Property Operations:

- Oversee day-to-day operations across assigned commercial properties
- Conduct regular site visits and property inspections
- Ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard
- Manage tenant requests, concerns, and escalations in a timely manner
- Work closely with building staff, contractors, and vendors
- Monitor operating budgets and identify opportunities to control costs

Tenant & Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial tenants
- Act as a primary point of contact for tenants and stakeholders
- Manage tenant communications and ensure a high level of service
- Support tenant onboarding, renewals, and ongoing relationship management

Commercial Leasing:

- Play an active role in the leasing of the commercial portfolio
- Work closely with ownership and leasing brokers on vacancies and opportunities




- Coordinate property tours, proposals, LOIs, and lease documentation
- Assist with lease negotiations, renewals, and amendments
- Maintain accurate leasing and occupancy information
- Coordinate with brokers, tenants, legal teams, and internal stakeholders throughout the leasing process
- Identify opportunities to improve occupancy and maximize portfolio performance

Qualifications:

- 4 to 7 years of commercial property management experience
- Strong exposure to commercial leasing, lease administration, and tenant relations
- Experience managing day-to-day operations across a commercial portfolio
- Experience conducting site visits and managing multiple properties
- Solid communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

Nice to Have:

- Experience with office, retail, industrial, or mixed-use portfolios
- Familiarity with Yardi, Building Stack, or similar property management systems
- Knowledge of Ontario tenancy regulations and commercial leasing practices
- Budgeting and financial reporting experience
- Experience working with local vendors, contractors, and commercial brokers in the GTA

Compensation:

- $100,000 to $130,000 CAD benefits
