Responsibilities

- Install, repair, and maintain flat roofing systems on commercial properties using various roofing materials and techniques
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and utility knives to cut, shape, and secure roofing components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure precise installation
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently throughout each project phase
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure watertight joints and seams on roofing surfaces




- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality standards and adherence to safety protocols
- Assist with general carpentry tasks related to roofing structures and support handyman responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades, minimum 5 years.
- Skilled in using hand tools, carpentry techniques, and blueprint reading
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing methods for flat roofs
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to roofing work environments
- Handyman experience or background in general construction is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
