About the Role
Microcad is looking for a hands-on Computer Technician to join our team. In this entry-level role, you'll help test, refurbish, image, and prepare computer hardware for our clients across Canada. It's a great opportunity for someone who's comfortable around technology, enjoys working with their hands, and takes pride in getting the details right. We'll train you on our processes — what matters most is a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
What You'll Do
- Test, diagnose, and refurbish desktops, laptops, and related hardware
- Install operating systems, drivers, and software (imaging)
- Perform basic repairs and part replacements
- Keep accurate records of the units you work on
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected workspace
Requirements
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software quickly
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and components
- Strong attention to detail and a work-focused mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and processes
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have (not required)
- Previous experience with PC repair or refurbishment
- A+ certification or related coursework
