Job Summary:

Capital City Paving Ltd is seeking a skilled, reliable Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in forming, pouring, and finishing concrete for sidewalks, driveways, curbs, gutters, and other projects. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. We are willing to train the right person, but experience with hand tools/power tools, carpentry, and general labour is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Form, pour, and finish concrete for sidewalks, driveways, curbs, gutters, and other paving projects.
- Measure, cut, and assemble forms for concrete structures according to project specifications.
- Ensure concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and properly finished using hand and power tools.
- Operate concrete finishing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with site preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite,



including proper handling and storage of materials.
- Collaborate with other crew members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

- Experience as a concrete finisher (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, tools, and materials.
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable results
- Previous experience in carpentry, using hand/power tools, and general labor.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license

Candidates must be located in Greater Victoria, BC to apply. Only experienced candidates will be contacted for an interview. Wage: $30-40.00 per hour, based on experience.
