Everest Signs, established in 1986, is a CSA-certified, full-service signage company operating from a 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Toronto (GTA East). We design, manufacture and install custom illuminated and non-illuminated signs for municipalities, schools, hospitals, commercial developments, churches, shopping centres and corporate clients throughout Ontario.

We are expanding our Sign Foundation Installation Division and are looking for a hardworking, dependable individual who enjoys outdoor work and wants to build a long-term career in the construction industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction, landscaping, concrete, fencing, utility installation, interlocking stone, or concrete driveway construction who wants to learn a specialized trade.

Position

Sign Foundation Crew Helper

Working directly with our Lead Sign Foundation Installer, you will assist in installing concrete foundations for custom commercial signage throughout Ontario.

Every day is different. You will work on a variety of projects including large pylon signs, wayfinding signs, municipal signs, schools, churches and commercial developments. This is a physically active outdoor position with excellent opportunities for advancement.

Duties Include

- Assist with excavation of sign foundations.
- Load and unload equipment, materials and tools.
- Assist with operation of augers, skid steers and compact equipment.
- Install sonotubes, rebar cages and anchor bolt templates.
- Assist with placing conduit and sleeves.
- Assist with concrete placement and finishing.
- Backfill and restore job sites.
- Maintain trucks, trailers and equipment.
- Help organize tools and materials before leaving the shop.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Work as part of a two- or three-person installation crew.




- Occasional overnight travel within Ontario.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in construction, landscaping, concrete forming, concrete driveway installation, fence installation, excavation, utility construction, interlocking stone or general construction.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence (Required).
- Comfortable driving pickup trucks.
- Experience towing trailers is an asset.
- Experience operating skid steer, mini excavator or other construction equipment is an asset.
- Comfortable using power tools.
- Physically fit and able to perform outdoor work in all seasons.
- Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
