Construction Labourer

DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced and hardworking Construction Labourer for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with gravel/base and earthworks activities
- Shovel, rake, and compact materials such as gravel, asphalt, and soil.
- Operate small tools and equipment as required.
- Assist with setup and cleanup of job sites, including traffic control measures.
- Load and unload construction materials.
- Follow directions from foremen and equipment operators.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Comply with company safety policies and occupational health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

- 1+ years of Civil Construction experience
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability,



and willingness to learn.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Experience with checking grades; an asset
- Must have the ability to lift 50lbs

Experience:
- civil construction: 1 year (preferred)
- checking grade and working with different structures: 2 years (preferred)
