Construction Labourer – Overview

YoungTown Construction is looking for a hardworking, dependable, and motivated Construction Labourer to join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid of hard work, shows up on time and ready to work, and is willing to learn. Previous construction experience is an asset, but a strong work ethic, good attitude, and willingness to learn are just as important.

Responsibilities

- Assist carpenters, framers, and other crew members with day-to-day construction tasks.
- Help with site preparation, cleanup, and organization.
- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and responsibly.
- Assist with framing, concrete work, and other general construction tasks as required.
- Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected job site.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced crew members.
- Work effectively with the team to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Show up consistently, on time, and ready to work.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous construction or general labour experience is an asset
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Reliable,



motivated, and willing to show up and put in the work every day.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to learn construction skills and take direction.
- Comfortable using or learning to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and prolonged standing.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Solid awareness of job-site safety.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Someone who takes initiative and doesn’t need to be constantly reminded of what needs to be done.
- Someone interested in building their skills and growing within the company.
