Position Overview Annual Compensation Range: $50,000-$70,000 Fidelity Engineering & Construction Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Administrator to support our project management and field operations teams. Fidelity is a heavy civil construction company specializing in infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, culverts, roadworks, municipal servicing, and other public‑sector construction contracts across Ontario.
The Construction Project
Administrator will play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of Fidelity’s projects by coordinating utility locates, maintaining project documentation, assisting with materials and soils management tracking, supporting quantity take-offs, and providing administrative assistance to project teams. This position is well suited for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and interested in building a career in heavy civil construction.
Responsibilities - Request, track, and manage utility locates for Fidelity’s construction contracts.
- Maintain material summaries and assist with tracking aggregate and construction materials.
- Assist with soils management documentation and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Complete quantity take-offs using contract drawings, specifications, quantity sheets, and tender documents.
- Prepare meeting agendas when required.
- Record meeting minutes and distribute documentation to project teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain organized project files and construction records.
- Provide general site coordination and administrative support to project managers, coordinators, and field staff.
- Assist with project documentation, communication, and follow‑up items as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of overall project execution.
Qualifications - Post‑secondary education in construction, civil engineering technology, project administration, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience as an administrator, coordinator, or support role in the construction industry is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documentation streams at the same time.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced project workplace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- General knowledge of construction site procedures, documentation standards, and safety requirements.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to help resolve logistical or communication gaps.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Bluebeam, digital filing platforms, or construction management software is an asset.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
