WindsorEvents.ca is looking for freelance content creators and influencers to create engaging short-form promotional content for our events.

We're looking for people who are comfortable on camera, understand what works on Instagram and TikTok, and can make people genuinely interested in attending an event.

You do not need a large following to apply. We're interested in both established influencers and talented creators who may have a small audience—or no meaningful audience at all—but are great at producing content.

What You'll Create

Projects may include

- Instagram Reels, TikToks, and other short-form vertical videos
- Event announcements and promotional videos
- UGC-style paid social advertisements
- "Why you should go" and event recommendation videos
- Event previews and countdown content
- On-location event coverage
- Attendee-style experiences, reactions, and testimonials
- Vendor and exhibitor features
- Interviews and street-style content
- Behind-the-scenes content
- Trend-based and concept-driven videos
- Scripted and semi-scripted promotional content
- Raw footage for our video editors to turn into ads and other creative

Depending on the project, you may create finished content, provide raw footage for our editing team, post through your own channels, or some combination of the three.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for creators who:

- Are confident, natural, and engaging on camera
- Have strong personality and communication skills
- Understand TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form content
- Know how to capture attention within the first few seconds
- Can make promotional content feel authentic rather than like a traditional advertisement
- Can deliver scripted talking points naturally




- Are comfortable filming themselves with a smartphone
- Can follow a creative brief while bringing their own personality and ideas to it
- Can produce multiple hooks, takes, or creative variations when required
- Are reliable with deadlines and communication
- Are receptive to creative direction and feedback

Experience creating UGC, paid social advertisements, event content, lifestyle content, entertainment content, or promotional videos is particularly valuable. Creators vs. Influencers

We're hiring both.

Content creators may be hired purely to create content for WindsorEvents.ca to publish and advertise through our own channels. You don't need an established following for this type of work.

Influencers may also be hired to create content and distribute it through their own social channels.

If you have an established audience, we're particularly interested in creators whose followers are concentrated in Windsor–Essex or other markets where we operate events.

Paid Advertising Content

Some content will be created specifically for paid social advertising.

For these projects, we're interested in creators who understand—or are willing to learn—how to create:

- Strong opening hooks
- Direct-to-camera advertisements
- UGC-style ads
- Event recommendations
- Problem/solution and benefit-driven creative
- Calls to action
- Multiple creative variations for testing





You don't need to be a media buyer. Your job is to create content that gives our advertising team robust material to work with.

Event Content

Some projects will require attending events in person to film content.

This may include capturing the event experience, interviewing attendees or vendors, creating live social content, or filming promotional material for future events.

For this reason, Windsor–Essex-based creators are strongly preferred.

Compensation

This is a freelance, project-based engagement.

Compensation may be structured per video, content package, event, campaign, or ongoing creator arrangement, depending on the project.

Rates may also differ depending on whether the engagement includes:

- Content creation only
- Editing
- Event attendance
- Posting through your own channels
- Paid advertising usage
- Extended content usage rights

There is no guaranteed volume of work.

Follower count is not the deciding factor. We're primarily looking for people who are compelling on camera, understand social content, and can make someone watching think: "That looks like something I want to go to." Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
