We are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team as a Continuous Improvement Consultant. If you are relentlessly focused on driving tangible business value through CI projects, we’d like to hear from you. This role could be permanent full-time or contract-based for specific client engagements.
Job Summary
As a Continuous Improvement Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering process improvement initiatives across a range of clients to enhance business performance, increase operational efficiency, and reduce costs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of client organizations to identify areas for improvement and implement practical, data-driven solutions that streamline processes and optimize resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing business and operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and support the execution of strategies to streamline operations and optimize resources.
- Participate in and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across client organizations to identify priorities, conduct root cause analysis, and execute action plans.
- Facilitate process mapping, value stream mapping, and process improvement workshops for client teams.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to support decision-making, evaluate process performance, and measure the tangible impact of implemented solutions.
- Prepare and deliver clear, structured presentations and reports for project leads and client stakeholders.
- Support project execution, ensuring milestones and deliverable timelines are consistently met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in process improvement or operational roles, with a proven track record of driving results through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience in field-based, industrial operations (e.g., mining, production, manufacturing, oil & gas).
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience analyzing business processes and identifying operational improvement opportunities.
- Solid project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deliverables, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that streamline operations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex process and data insights to stakeholders at all levels.
Additional Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about driving continuous improvement and optimizing business operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has demonstrated experience executing process improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Some travel will be required to remote client worksites in industrial settings. Certain projects may require up to 50% of the year at remote client sites throughout Canada and the United States.
