This is an exciting chance to join our Client Services & Engagement department as a Practice Enhancement Consultant and work in a position you thrive in!The Practice Enhancement Consultant (PEC) is a field‑based advisor working directly with clinicians and their practices to develop plans for advancing use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other digital health tools usage and capabilities to improve patient and practice outcomes. The position is also directly involved in developing and delivering education and training and supporting communication and engagement.Under the direction of the Director, Knowledge Translation and Education, and the Practice Enhancement Lead, the role:EMR and Digital Health Expertise and Guidance- Guides EMR/digital health users through optimization and practice improvement initiatives.- Applies QI and change management principles in digital health optimization.- Provides usability-informed input into digital health design and development initiatives at OMD.- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of digital health technologies, best practices & third‑party offerings.- Supports the adoption of pilot and proof of concept projects, applying change management methodologies and digital health strategies to address clinical and patient care challenges.Education and Training- Develops education and training materials (e.G. e‑Coaching content, knowledge resources, best practice guidance) to support various initiatives including EMRs/digital health optimization, workflow efficiencies, and adoption of best practices.- Transfers knowledge and skills to clinicians and internally through coaching, collaborative sessions,



and training activities.- Delivers educational sessions and interactive learning experiences using varied technologies and modalities. Leads discussions, facilitates knowledge sharing, and explores alternative approaches.- Facilitates regular communication with and between physicians on best practices and advanced features in optimizing EMR functionality through forums, user group meetings, workshops, etc.Analysis and Workflow Optimization- Performs data analysis, interprets performance measures, and assesses workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.- Manages initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring timely, high‑quality results under tight deadlines and competing priorities.- Supports use of digital assets in quality improvement projects.Communication and Engagement- Works with other departments across OMD to develop targeted plans for promotion and adoption of eHealth initiatives within the practice community.- Coordinates communication regarding new e‑Health and other initiatives.- Supports and advises partner organizations in the design, development and dissemination of digital health initiatives.- Cultivates and maintains relationships and partnerships with key external stakeholders in support of OMD’s strategic direction.Requirements that are important to us:- Degree in Health Services, eHealth, Medical Informatics, Health Information Management, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.- 5+ years of experience in a healthcare role, clinical practice role, manager role,
