Robert Half is partnering with a growing Niagara-based organization to recruit a Controller. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hands-on CPA who wants to take ownership of the finance function, lead a team, and play a key role in supporting the company's continued growth and operational success across Canada and the US.

This highly visible leadership position offers significant onsite collaboration with senior leadership and business partners. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, drive process improvements, support an upcoming ERP transition, and provide meaningful financial insights to help guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Own consolidated financial statements, management reporting, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Lead and develop the accounting team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting operations.
- Oversee audit coordination, internal controls, compliance, payroll oversight, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reporting efficiency, and process optimization.




- Act as the finance lead on ERP implementation and system enhancement projects.

Requirements

- CPA designation required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
- Strong experience with financial reporting, consolidations, month-end close, budgeting support, and internal controls.
- Experience in multi-entity environments preferred.
- Proven ability to improve processes, enhance reporting, and lead finance transformation initiatives.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and Power BI considered an asset.
- Solid leadership, communication, and business partnering capabilities.
- Experience working in a private-equity owned organization is an asset.
