As we continue to grow, we are looking for a full-time, long-term Conventional Machinist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist or a motivated 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice looking to advance their skills in a professional, hands-on workplace.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 3:30PM-11:00PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Location: On-site
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathes and milling machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Set up and operate machines to produce precision components to specified tolerances.
- Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machining methods.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and industry safety standards.
- Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Assist with training and mentoring apprentices when required.
- CNC machining experience or knowledge would be considered a strong asset.
Qualifications & Skills
- Machinist certification preferred.
- 3rd or 4th Year Machinist Apprentices will be considered.
- Previous experience operating conventional lathes and milling machines.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of machining practices,
materials, tooling, and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
- Previous CNC experience is an asset.
