Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and food safety standards
- Serve guests and residents efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including safe storage, sanitation, and temperature control
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Follow all food handling procedures meticulously to prevent contamination and ensure safety




- Support team members during busy periods by sharing responsibilities in meal preparation, service, and coverage of teammates in the event of absenteeism and holidays.

Skills

- Proven experience in food service, restaurant work, healthcare, institutional and other culinary environments, minimum of 2500 hrs
- Skilled in food preparation techniques and cooking methods across diverse cuisines
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Experience working in unionized enviroments
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in meal preparation
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining moments
