Job Overview

We are looking for a caring, organized, and dependable Cook to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals and snacks for young children while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of nutrition and health practices for young children and enjoys working in a collaborative, child-focused environment.

Qualifications & Skills

- Strong understanding of health, nutrition, and food safety practices for young children.
- Ability to prepare nutritious, balanced, and child-friendly meals and snacks.
- Warm, positive, and friendly approach when interacting with children.
- Ability to work closely and harmoniously with supervisors, educators, and other team members.
- Good physical health and the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen responsibilities efficiently.
- Previous experience working in a childcare, school, or similar setting is considered an asset.
- Food safety certification is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to the approved menu.
- Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with children's dietary needs, allergies, and special feeding requirements.




- Communicate with educators and management regarding children's nutritional needs, allergies, and special dietary requirements.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of food, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products.
- Maintain the kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.
- Follow all applicable food handling, sanitation, health, and safety requirements.
- Monitor food supplies and communicate when items need to be replenished.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records related to food, menus, inventory, and other required documentation.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties as required.
- Ensure requested data and metrics are provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Pay: $16.00-$18.64 per hour
