Locations: York Region service sites (Aurora) and SEC Head office (Newmarket)

Position Type: Full-time, Hybrid -31 hours per week

Compensation: $58,032-$60,853per annum (health benefits, 3 weeks vacation & RRSP contributions)

SEC maintains its head office in Newmarket and provides public service signature expertise for immigrants, newcomers, early learning and development, Family Justice Service, Career and Labour market integration through programs such as Supervised Access, EarlyOn Child & Family Centres, Welcome Centre for Immigrant Services-Newmarket and several Before & After School and Licensed Childcare Programs.

The Opportunity The Coordinator, York Region Supervised Parenting Time Program will oversee the operations of the regional Supervised Parenting Time Program (York) ensuring that all relevant policies, procedures, and best practices are consistently followed. This includes effective and professional interactions with clients through intake appointments and oversight of case management, while ensuring appropriate and accurate maintenance of observation documentation to support positive outcomes for families and minimize risk exposure to the program.

The Coordinator will provide ongoing support, coaching and training to Site Observers, identify opportunities for service improvement, lead change initiatives, and make recommendations to enhance program effectiveness and service delivery. You will provide ongoing support, coaching,

Key Job Responsibilities

- Ensure overall quality of client services and program deliverables




- Oversee client intake and case management for up to 80 files annually which includes ensuring accuracy of staff notes and responding to client request for information
- Coordinate on-site staff schedules and administer the development and delivery of trainings for program excellence
- Monitor employee performance through observations, meetings, and evaluations in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
- Represent Supervised Parenting Time program to community groups and provide educational information
- Maintain statistical and evaluation information for program monitoring
- Maintain operating expenditures within budget
- Maintain program’s website
- Ensure effective customer service is maintained through prompt follow up and proper allocation of resources

Candidate Profile

- Post-secondary education in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum four years of progressive experience in family justice, supervised parenting time, child and family services, or a related human services environment, including experience in program coordination, case management, and service delivery.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, including staff scheduling, coaching, training, performance management, and supporting a collaborative, accountable team environment.
- Robust knowledge of family justice processes, including parenting time and decision-making responsibility, family court processes, court orders and legal documentation, and working collaboratively with legal professionals.
- Demonstrated understanding of domestic violence, family separation, high-conflict family dynamics, trauma-informed practice,



and child-centred approaches.
- Strong program administration and organizational skills, including managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement, and collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data and outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse children and families, staff, community partners, legal professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and sound judgment, including the ability to respond effectively to complex, sensitive, crisis, and high-pressure situations.
- Working knowledge of relevant Ontario legislation, organizational compliance requirements, Microsoft Office, and database or case management systems.
- Experience with community outreach, stakeholder engagement, presentations, or workshops; experience with budget administration is considered an asset.

- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification and a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transportation.

Work Schedule and Location

- Full-time position: 31 hours per week
- Primary work locations and schedule:
- Monday: SEC Head Office – 1220 Stellar Drive, Unit 201, Newmarket, ON L3Y 7B9
- Sunday: York Region service site in Aurora
- Remaining workdays: Remote
- The successful candidate is required to work at other SEC program sites or locations as needed for operational requirements, staff absence coverage, training, meetings, or other organizational needs.
