The Senior Human Resources Business Partner provides end‑to‑end HR leadership to The Salvation Army's assigned corporate functions (e.G. IT, Finance, HR, Legal etc.) across its Territorial Headquarters. As a senior individual contributor, this role acts as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leaders, delivering strategic, hands‑on HR support in a complex, mission‑driven environment.Supporting a diverse range of specialized corporate client groups, the Senior HRBP balances strategic influence with operational excellence, partnering closely with leaders to translate HR strategy into practical, values‑aligned people solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced HR leader who thrives in a player‑coach mindset without direct people leadership, brings sound judgement to complex situations, and is energized by meaningful impact.Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR PartnershipServe as a strategic HR business partner and change agent to senior leaders across corporate functionsBuild strong, trust‑based relationships with leaders, providing expert advice on people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planningTranslate and implement territorial HR strategies, policies, and programs to meet the unique needs of corporate client groupsEmployee RelationsLead and resolve complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and terminations, using a structured and risk‑aware approachAssess and mitigate risk related to workplace relations, partnering with Legal, HR Centres of Excellence (COEs), and external agencies as requiredProvide guidance supporting consistent application of employment legislationOrganizational Effectiveness & ChangePartner with leaders on organizational design, role clarity, team effectiveness, and change initiativesCoach leaders through transformation, ambiguity, and change,



ensuring people impacts are thoughtfully managedApply a systems‑thinking and continuous improvement mindset to enhance HR practices and the employee experienceActively contribute to and support enterprise‑wide HR initiatives, including salary reviews, talent assessment, workforce planning, performance management, health & safety, training, and organizational changeEnsure people practices align with mission, values, and compliance requirements, while meeting business and operational needsExperience & Qualification RequirementsUniversity degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field, CHRL or CPHR designation required5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including senior‑level HRBP roles supporting complex client groupsDemonstrated success advising and influencing senior and executive leaders in large, multi‑faceted organizationsStrong, practical knowledge of HR practices across corporate/head office environmentsProven experience managing high‑risk, complex employee relations issues with confidence and sound judgementDemonstrated commitment to The Salvation Army’s Mission and Core Values, with the ability to integrate mission into people‑related decisionsHigh level of self‑awareness, integrity, and accountability; exercises discretion and sound judgementTrusted advisor with strong coaching, consulting, and relationship‑management skillsResults‑oriented, organized, and comfortable operating autonomously as a senior individual contributorSystems thinker with a continuous improvement and change mindset, capable of supporting leaders and employees through transitionCollaborative, inclusive, and resilient skilled who models professionalism and respect.Compensation:The target hiring range for this position is $85,321.60 to $106,641.60 with a maximum of $127,982.40.
